Professor Adwok is a consultant general and endocrine surgeon at The Nairobi Hospital. His practice encompasses a broad range of general surgical procedures, including common keyhole (laparoscopic) procedures, with a special interest in the surgical management of complex thyroid and parathyroid diseases.

He was a tutor and lecturer in clinical surgery at the University of Nairobi from 1985 until his voluntary retirement in 2011 as an associate professor of surgery to pursue full-time private practice.

Education and specialist training

He holds an MBBS from the University of Khartoum, an MMed (Surg.) from the University of Nairobi and a PhD in Health Care Administration from Capella University, Minnesota, USA. He trained as an endocrine surgeon at the University of Düsseldorf, Germany.
